About This Section
This is one of my latest projects and happens to be little different than what usually tend to gravitate towards. Tabletop Battles is a free tabletop strategy game that is most easily compared to Warhammer or Chainmail. During the period that I was into the whole tabletop wargaming thing there was one aspect that really bothered me... the price. Those models cost a small fortune, not to mention the rule sets that constantly get changed and all the dice and paint you need. As a result of this I came up with the simple idea of using pieces of paper as figures. In Tabletop Battles you select an army, build it from a certain number of agreed points, and than p1ay. It uses only d10's and paper; no paint or glue required. To make your army all you have to do is print the figures and than fold them into simple triangle/pyramid things. It takes less than 10 minutes to make the figures of an entire army, and then your set to play. I should note that I am not artistically inclined so the pictures for the units are actually sprites taken from various older video games (these will be removed upon a request of their respective copyright holders) and I do not claim ownership of them. Though because of the sprite format if you have MSPaint than you can create your own or alter existing ones quite easily. I hope everyone enjoys this game and I look forward to input and additional army ideas. Return to Main
